After all the excitement of the competition, the vote count, and the announcement of the winners, we can say that the spring Retailer of the Season is now concluded. This contest — which runs seasonally in Airdrie, Bellshill, Coatbridge, Kilsyth, Motherwell and Wishaw — is becoming increasingly popular among the online and local community and the business owners themselves. This last edition has incorporated two rounds, one on website and a second one on Facebook, and it has recorded the highest participation by far until now.

Overall, there were 542 valid entries for the six towns for Round 1 (website), with an average of 90 votes per town. These were the businesses chosen by the public to make it onto the next round.

Things got wilder in Round 2, with a staggering figure of 4,600 valid entries among the 6 towns. In Bellshill received the highest number with over 1,700 valid votes, followed by In Wishaw with more than 1,300. By now, you may know what retailers have received the highest share of love in your town, but if you want to discover what other businesses in North Lanarkshire have been crowned by their customers and local community, have a look at this list.
